Their reputation for quality, service, reliability and respect is known internationally and their dedication to their employees is atthe heart of their business.Your new role is based within the busy Sample Preparation Department. Here, a large volume of samples are prepared for analyses making it a critical function of the companies laboratory services.You will ensure an efficient and high quality Laboratory Sample Service is provided in order to meet strict deadlines and priorities agreed with internal and external clients. You will take responsibility for all aspects of the Goods Inwards and Sample PreparationLaboratory operations, iincluding management of resources, staffing, standard operating procedures, instrumentation, equipment and consumables.Your knowledge and experience:

  • Experience of working within the minerals and metals industry.
  • Good understanding of sample preparation techniques and reporting requirements, in addition to knowledge of ISO17025 protocols.
  • Experience of managing multi-disciplined teams.
  • Excellent organisation skills with a good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritise workload daily.
  • Ability to work with required timescales.
  • IT Literate with a good appreciation of Microsoft applications and LIMS well-practised in preparing management information and reports.
