Graduate ChemistWhat is on offer_____AHK has an opportunity for a Graduate Chemist to join our laboratory operations, which provides analytical services to the metals and minerals industry in the analysis of metalliferous commodities.Based at our UK Global Headquarters, situated in the North West of England, the role will involve a two-year technical development programme, which may, following successful completion, become a permanent appointment. During which time you will spend time in our different laboratories learning about the wide range of analytical services and techniques we operate. On successful completion of the programme, your next assignment could be to a role at our UK laboratory, or one of our many overseas Laboratory operations.About us_____Alfred H Knight are an independent provider of inspection and testing services.   • Required Knowledge and Work Experience
  • Previous internship or initial professional work experience in a laboratory environment is desirable but not essential.
  • An understanding of the following analytical techniques: FAAS, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, XRF, Titration, Fire Assay, IR combustion, Classical Gravimetric Analysis, TGA.
  • IT Skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, knowledge of platforms such as Monday.Com & Asana would be expedient
  • Required Qualifications
  • BSC (Hons) Chemistry (inorganic chemistry modules)
  • Required Languages
  • English and other languages advantageous (e.g. Spanish, Mandarin, Russian, Japanese, French)
  • Travel Requirements
  • Travel as required both domestically and internationally.
  • Must have a valid passport and ability to obtain visas as necessary.
