Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and organised individual to join St Helens & Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust as an ENT Failsafe Officer & Capacity Coordinator. You will support the ENT Department in achieving departmental, national and Trust objectives. To provide regular reports on ENT conditions and demonstrate our patient tracking compliance to Trust clinicians, managers and CCG representatives. The successful candidate will provide an efficient and effective service within the Directorate, working closely with the Directorate Manager and Assistant Directorate Manager to ensure that optimum use of physical capacity throughout the services clinics to deliver maximum activity.The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational management of all aspects of failsafe and data extraction and interpretation. You will need to liaise with ENT Consultants, nursing team and Patient Booking Services, to ensure that patients are offered an appointment in a timely manner and clinics are fully utilised in line with RTT pathways and Access Policy. You will need to maintain an accurate tracking system and monitor compliance with defined treatment timelines for all patients.The successful candidate will have experience of working within the NHS and be required to use numerous computerised systems such as; Excel, DATIX, Medway, EDMS and Microsoft Office Applications. You will utilise the Trusts information system such as Qlikview, to assist in the capacity and Demand Planning of the service.The post holder should be motivated and pro-active in their role and able to work flexibly across both sites.
