Job Description

Be part of an ambitious and forward thinking Acute Medicine serviceThis new appointment offers an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing, ambitious and innovative Acute Medicine Team. This is a 10 PA post for a highly motivated physician to join an award winning, forward thinking, education oriented, dynamic and multi-professional team. The post holder will also contribute to the out of hours General Internal Medicine Physician of the Day (PoD) rota with a 3% on call supplement.The post will enable the AMU to continue to enhance the care given to patients by strengthening arrangements for the assessment and early management of medical emergencies across ED and AMU, managing medical patients in the early part of their hospital stay including via our embedded Same Day Emergency Care area and an Enhanced Care area. We also provide follow up for patients in the AMU Outpatient Clinic.The Trust and Acute Medicine Team are committed to education and training. We are consistently highly rated in all domains of the GMC Annual Trainee Survey. There is a well-developed teaching/training programme with excellent postgraduate facilities.     1. Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). (The proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of the interview)
    2. Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR). (CESR candidates must have written GMC confirmation upon successful application).
