Job Title: Behavioral Support Specialist - Primary SchoolsResponsibilities:In this role, you will be responsible for implementing effective behavioural strategies to support children with challenging behaviour. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with teaching staff, parents, and other professionals to create a collaborativeand supportive environment for the child. Your duties will also include conducting assessments to understand the root causes of challenging behaviour, developing tailored intervention plans, and implementing and monitoring individualised behaviour supportplans.Regular progress assessments and documentation will be part of your responsibilities, and you will need to maintain open communication with school staff, parents, and relevant professionals. This involves providing updates on progress and discussing strategiesfor ongoing support.Requirements:To be successful in this position, you should possess a recognised qualification in childcare or a related field. Proven experience working with children with challenging behaviour in an educational or childcare setting is essential. A solid understandingof behavioural support strategies and practical application experience is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for effective collaboration with school staff, parents, and external professionals.Demonstrating empathy and a genuine commitment to improving the well-being of children is highly valued in this role.
