Warehouse Operations Manager (Manufacturing)Competitive SalaryExcellent Contractual Benefits and Career prospectsWirralDue to incredible business growth we are EXCLUSIVELY recruiting for a Warehouse Operations Manager to join our hugely successful client in their Management Team.They have a hugely exciting future with plans to grow their business dramatically over the next 12 months which will have a fantastic impact on the development and internal promotion of their employees as well as additional recruitment.As their new Warehouse Operations Manager you will be joining the business at a critical time where your knowledge and expertise will be fully utilised in a large-scale transformation of the warehouse; including the implementation of hand-held scanningsystem and moving the warehouse on to an ERP system.Previous experiences with these onsite projects is an essential.If this sounds like the business and a team that you would like to join and become an integral part of their exciting journey this could be your new role!YOUR NEW ROLEYou will be responsible for all aspects of the Wirral based warehouses operations, ensuring smooth supply of service to key departments i.e. Manufacturing, Support, Warehouse and Logistics. Ensuring all KPIs and targets are met.YOUR MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Lead, manage and develop team members in line with company policies and procedures.* Implement robust, efficient operating processes and procedures to achieve agreed targets for service levels and stock control.* Implement stock holding policy for stock items as agreed with Purchasing and/or Chief Financial Officer, balancing stock value with targeted lead times* Working to the production plan, ensure the efficient flow of component kits, from warehouse to the manufacturing enabling 100% on time build.* Produce and report monthly performance metrics for review with the CEO* Review/Identify material flows and control issues with other members of the manufacturing operations team and implement corrective actions where appropriate.* Ownership and control of all Stock circa £4m* Lead the planning and execution of annual stock take exercise and adhere to agreed regular cyclical counting regime. * Continual process of logistics cost reduction and service improvement.* Promote thorough integration the teams into the companys overall service delivery standards and processes.* Promote Health and Safety and WEEE considerations within the site and ensure all staff are adequately trained and supervised in this area.* Planning of future updates to stock control systems to include handheld devices, progress wallboards etc.* Work to replan layout of warehouse to include condensed racking, Bendi forklift etc* Work with the Purchasing and Finance teams to:* Achieve agreed material and operational cost reduction targets.* Set-up agreed parts stock holding policy on Navision for manufacturing, service and sell on items* Review, identify and resolve material supply issues putting in place corrective actions where necessary.* Achieve agreed material and operational cost reduction targetsYOUR SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCEEssential* A minimum of 3 years previous experience in a similar role with management of teams up to 20 people.* Leadership: Provides and communicates inspirational and clear direction to your team which is in line with the organisations goals, mission and values.* Performance management; Manages the performance of others fairly, clearly and regularly, encouraging and supporting the team to achieve high standards.* Planning and organisational skills; Able to establish efficient and appropriate plans for yourself and others and adapt quickly and effectively to unexpected changes whilst still ensuring objectives are met.* The ideal candidate will have experience gained in a warehouse, supply chain and manufacturing within the IT or electronics environments.* Excellent, proven IT skills - in particular Excel, Microsoft Navision/Dynamics, database and ERP systems.
