Job Description

Its what delivering great healthcare should feel like.You will be working at Potters Bar Clinic, where you will provide care for young people and adults with acute mental health needs and personality disorders in an established 24-hour care environment. The CAMHS Tier 4 Low Secure services are for young peopleaged 13-18.As an Occupational Therapist, you will assist in creating an effective and efficient system of occupational therapy services and maintain comprehensive initial occupational therapy assessments to support service users care plans. This will see you assistin designing and delivering tailored individual and group treatment plans.Under the supervision of the Senior Occupational Therapist, you will plan and review ongoing occupational therapy treatment programmes and mental health assessments to support services recovery.With a strong emphasis on teamwork, youll receive support from a regional network of healthcare professionals and enjoy access to a variety of online and CPD training courses to support you reach your career goals.This role involves:

  • Maintaining evaluation records of performance for individual patients, providing verbal or written data for ward rounds, assessment review meetings and actively participate in the clinical discussion of service users needs, in the development of care plans
  • Contributing towards mental health assessments contributing to service users recovery at Potters Bar Clinic
  • Liaising closely with other members of the clinical team, demonstrating a commitment to effective teamwork and people-focused care
  • Identifying and actioning relevant referrals both in-house, including support staff, and to external agencies
  • Attending and actively contributing to CPAs/case review meetings, working collaboratively with Patient Care Team colleagues in the planning and delivery of patients treatment programmes
To be successful in this role:
  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Driving Licence
  • Experience in working within mental health settings
  • Occupational Therapy assessment processes and report writing
  • Facilitating individual and group therapy
