Job Description

Cordant People are delighted to be recruiting aIT Systems Support Analystfor a global food company serving international retailers. The company is based in Portlethen and is looking to fill this role immediately.About the role:Candidate is required to resolve a variety of technical issues relating to computer systems, telecommunicationsnetwork, LANs, WANs and computers, located across the site. Use general technical knowledge and technical skills to perform basic hardware and softwaresupport to end user facing systems.Duties and responsibilities:

  • Engage as day-to-day interface with site providing support activities on business critical applications and systems.
  • Support and maintain Manufacturing Execution System.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and identify options to address problems experienced on the production floor and find solutions.
  • Identify patterns in system issues and raise issues to site / group business systems manager and supplier.
  • Generate ideas to meet functional business objectives.
  • Work with Group IT to ensure proper execution of specifications and support implementation of IT projects.
  • Develop cost estimates and business cases.
The candidate we are looking for:
  • Effective department cost and budget management.
  • Test plans, scripts and conditions based on business requirements.
  • Providetechnical infrastructure support tooffice and production environment.
  • Be visible and active on production floor, supporting production teams to meet daily targets.
  • Provide problem diagnosis, using support tools for hardware, software, and in-house applications.
  • Provide excellent customer technical support.
  • Answer and respond to incoming support requests, including those outside of working hours.
  • Track support activity in the Helpdesk system.
  • Assist end users with connectivity or application issues.
  • Install, integrate, and configure new computer systems and hardware for users.
  • Setting up workstation equipment for new users.
  • Provides initial hardware, software and communication troubleshooting and resolves basic failures and conflicts.
  • Assist remote staff with basic support requests.
  • Ensure that site cyber protection standards are consistently deployed.
  • Responsible for user account creations and terminations based on requests from HR department.
  • Perform support and maintain all company office equipment.
  • Support appropriate usage of CCTV system.
  • Update technical documentation and share knowledge with other support staff.
Skills and Experience:

  • Third level qualification in field of IT or relevant experience preferred.
  • PRINCE2, PMP, and/or ITIL certification preferred.
  • Relevant ERP/MES application exposureSI preferred.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Desktop Operating Systems.
  • Knowledge of Windows Servers, Active Directory administration skills, Microsoft Exchange, MS O365.
  • Ability to multitask and work under own initiative to deliver to deadlines.
  • Problem solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Strong focus on service delivery.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Ability to under pressure.
  • Relationship builder with influencing skills.
Salary - £28,000 to £32,000 per annum
