Trainee Practice AccountantLocation: Portishead, BS20 7AN.Salary: £18,000-£25,000 DOE. We also offer, generous holiday entitlement with Health Assured Employee Assistance Program and Pension available upon completion of initial period. Fully study support is also available for ACCA qualification afterinitial.Contract: Full time, permanent. 37.5 hours per week - flexible working by agreement after probation period. They have 80,000 clients including Sole Traders, Partnerships, Limited Companies and Personal Taxpayers.About the roleThis opportunity is ideal for you if you are a Trainee or Semi-Senior studying for your AAT and looking to progress to an ACCA qualification. This role will appeal to those looking for a career in general practice, one that will see you provide a broad rangeof services to a varied client base from business start-ups through to SMEs and OMBs and medium size companies.We are looking for someone who enjoys client interaction, likes working in a positive environment and wants to provide a great service to their clients. You will have a confident attitude and be studying for, or have recently completed, your AAT qualificationwith experience gained from within the profession.Duties and responsibilitiesYou will have the opportunity to be client facing and take on a portfolio of new and existing clients to manage.You will work with the firms clients and be involved in the following- Tax and Statutory Accounts for Limited Companies Personal tax Management Accounts preparation Management of quarterly VAT ReturnsTraining will be provided to learn the practice software and you will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills with access to the TaxAssist National Training Academy.What we need from youIdeally, you will have relevant and recent practice experience and be used to working on your own initiative. Preferably, you will be AAT qualified or nearing completion of your studies towards or hold an accountancy degree.
