Home Energy AdvisorUp to £28,050 per annum37 hours - with flexible/agile working2 year fixed-term contractBased in Portishead and Weston with agile workingAbout the role:We have a fantastic opportunity for an individual to join our new Home Energy Service.You will be a champion and advocate who raises awareness of fuel poverty and energy efficiency across Alliance Homes and to our customers.You will manage a caseload of customers offering energy advice and support. You will help our customers make informed decisions which in turn will help to reduce disrepair issues such as damp and mould, and promote better use of domestic energy. This willhelp our customers have warmer, healthier homes, better living conditions and the ability to manage their energy bills.This is an important role, which will help truly make the difference in this current climate.About you:Our Home Energy Advisor will have worked with people experiencing financial or social disadvantage previously and have a working knowledge of fuel poverty and energy debt issues and solutions.You will have an understanding of welfare benefits and be able to train/raise awareness of energy related topics with colleagues.You will love to support people and be genuinely empathetic with a can-do attitude.The successful candidate will also be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check. Due to the nature of the role, a full driving licence with your access to your own car is required.Any internal candidates will need to discuss with their manager prior to applying for this secondment. We will ask the Head of Area that your application can be progressed dependant on current business needs.The closing date is 18th September 2022.Interviews w/c 26 September 2022.
