Job Description

Financial Planning Assistant (Financial Services Administrator), Part-Time (3 full days or 4 or 5 shorter days), £25,000 - £30,000 pro rata plus benefits including 25 days holiday (pro rata) + bank holidays + pension + private healthcare + financial support with professional training and development. I am recruiting a part-time Financial Planning Assistant (Financial Services Administrator) to work for Weston Associates IFA Ltd., a well-established firm of highly qualified and experienced Chartered Financial Advisors. Working in a small and friendly team in Portishead (Bristol, BS20), the successful Financial Planning Assistant (Financial Services Administrator) will support the Advisors in delivering a trusted and personal financial planning service to a wide range of clients.The Person: The Financial Planning Assistant (Financial Services Administrator) will be a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with excellent administrative and customer service skills. They will have experience of working in the financial services sector, although they will not be expected to know the intricacies of financial planning as training and support will be provided.Financial Planning Assistant (Financial Services Administrator), responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with Advisors, supporting them with delivering the highest level of customer experience.
  • Preparing for and coordinate the monthly and ongoing client review process.
  • Reviewing and updating client and compliance documents such as fact finds, attitude to risk profiles and client agreements.
  • Liaising with policy providers to obtain client information.
  • Completing portfolio valuations.
  • Assisting in the production of suitability reports.
  • Producing regulatory documentation such as KFD’s, costs disclosure and complete application forms.
  • General policy enquiries and financial planning administration.
  • Developing relationships with clients, arranging client meetings and collating information.
  • Financial Planning Assistant (Financial Services Administrator), skills and experience required:
  • Previous experience in a financial services organisation with an understanding of financial services terminology (we are happy to consider candidates who have worked in any financial services environment including bank, building society, mortgages, pensions, financial planning, insurance etc.)
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills with a great eye for detail
  • A confident manner with excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong technology aptitude with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (knowledge of Intelligent Office, Truth or Morningstar software would be brilliant to have, but is not essential.
  • A team player with a "can do" attitude. There is a great team atmosphere in the office, so we are looking for individuals who are adaptable, flexible and self-motivated, prepared to work independently when required and participate fully in the successful operation of the business.
  • Interested in working towards a Diploma in Financial Planning.
