Job Description

Control your own destiny or someone else will. Jack Welch.Our client is a long-established organisation based in Portbury is recruiting for a Financial Controller. The Financial Controller will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance withfinancial regulations.Responsibilities of the Financial Controller include:

  • Manage the accounts team and ensure seamless running of the Finance Department
  • Proactively oversee and report on cashflow
  • Ensure checks and balances in place to monitor and report on cashflow in relation to revenue, profit, capital expenditure and working capital movements
  • Lead contact point with external advisors and stakeholders
  • Oversee and drive systems improvements and implementations
  • Support Board in day-to-day issues and growth plans
  • Report Margin variations to Management Team in weekly/monthly formats
  • Presenting Monthly MI and weekly KPIs as required
  • Lead the annual budget process
  • Control Capital Expenditure to budget and forecasts
  • Keep Board and Business up to date with key legislation changes
To be considered for the role of Financial Controller, skills/experience required:
  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified accountant (or by experience)
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Systems implementation experience
  • Experience of preparing and developing budgets, management accounts and cashflow forecasts
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of the significance of work areas outside the immediate function
