Specialist Support OfficerPort Talbot Full Time 37.5 hrs a weekWe are working in partnership with an organisation based in Port Talbot who provide support services to families impacted by domestic abuse. This is a full time position working 37.5 hours a week and will be based at the Head Office and there will also be a requirement to work across various locations in the community and home home working. There will also be on call duties on a rota basis thatwill be approximately 3 shifts per month. Within this role you will be working within a project that supports various needs of women, building trust and giving specialist support. You will have a strong understanding of the risks and support needs of women who have multiple vulnerabilities and mayhave been exploited by the sex industry. You will provide practical and emotional support to women who are at risk of sexual and /or domestic violence, providing high quality service, ensuring that all women are regularly assessed for support needs and that appropriate actions are put in place.You will assess the practical and emotional support of women by completing individual support plans and conduct regular key working sessions that will provide information and advice to enable women to make informed choices for themselves regarding their housing,relationships and safety.You will also work closely with local specialist agencies, who provide support with issues - such as substance misuse, mental health, sexual health and attend SWOT (Sex Worker Operational Team), MARAC and other partnership meetings as required.The skills and experience we are looking for;
