Job Description

Process Maintenance Engineer (No Shifts)Port Talbot£28000 PA Starting SalaryTHE COMPANYThis manufacturing organisation is well established and operate from their modern facilities in Port Talbot. They produce high quality goods and have a solid reputation.THE ROLEThis position requires a maintenance engineer to work on both electrical and mechanical equipment, no two days will be the same. Duties include:

  • Preventive maintenance on all machinery including CNCs, presses, lathes, clean room equipment and packing machines
  • Troubleshooting, fault finding
  • Following manufacturers instructions, diagrams, sketches, operations manuals and engineering specs
  • Removing and replacing defective parts
  • Adjustment to mechanical and electrical parts, control instruments, motors
  • Minimising downtime through effective planning
  • Fabrication of parts
  • Stock control of parts, equipment and supplies
  • Handling mechanical and electrical queries
  • Providing mechanical and electrical reports
  • REQUIREMENTSThe successful applicant will have the following qualifications, experience and qualities:
  • Electrical or Mechanical qualification
  • Ability to work both on mechanical and electrical (bias electrical)
  • Working knowledge of CNCs, pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Understanding of ultrasonic welding and servo motors (preferred)
  • Solid fault finding and troubleshooting skills
  • Computer PC literate
  • Good multi tasking skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player
  • Able to organise and prioritise
  • IN RETURNThis is a great opportunity to join a well establish thriving organisation. The role is diverse and varied. There are no shifts.
