Job Description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of Tata Steels Port Talbot team for a Mechanical. Within the role, you will support the Area Engineering Manager with the coordination of the areas engineering activities and implementation of appropriate engineeringstandards to drive continuously improving manufacturing performance, to deliver our Annual Plan.Client DetailsTata Steel Port Talbot are a critical area of Tata Steel in the UK, they are on a journey. A journey creating exciting products that support our customers growth in an area thats receiving millions of pounds of investment whilst bringing new technologyto the forefront.DescriptionThe Key responsibilities are-

  • continuously develop and implement a cost effective preventative maintenance regime in line with the maintenance strategy for the Works Area
  • support and drive the failure analysis processes and ensure that all engineering activities are carried out in line with the standards and strategy for the Works Area (e.g. management of spares, management of contractors, budget management, engineeringstandards & procedures. etc.).
ProfileThe successful candidate will have-
  • A knowledge of statistical and problem solving techniques with computer literacy and good oral and written communication skills.
  • In depth knowledge of Permit Systems-Fluid Power/PBS/ATW.
  • Ideally IOSH qualified
  • Ability to project manage small improvement SRE/CAPEX projects.
  • Continuous improvement techniques.
