Job Description

Buying and Merchandising AdministratorPort TalbotSalary £19,000- £21,000 P/AGlobal leader sportswear brandDo you have a strong background in administration, across buying, merchandising and logistics and want to work for a global leader within the world of sportswear My client designs market leading products as well as sponsoring some of the worlds best athletes!This truly is an amazing opportunity with the chance to travel across continents when attending events and competitions abroad.Hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days. These hours will be worked between 12:00AM-11:59PM Monday to Sunday in a pattern that will be notified to you in advance. Some flexibility is required to cover business requirements. High workload,competition events, stock take, Peak trading times (Black Friday Nov/Dec).General duties include:

  • Assist in forecasting to plan future orders
  • Produce sales & stock reports
  • Create SKUS and UPCs
  • Keep detailed records on procurement activity, materials quantity, specifications etc
  • Shipping/ delivery process post Brexit
  • Maintain relationships and negotiate with suppliers
  • Finalise purchasedetails of orders and deliveries
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
  • Control spend andbuild a culture oflong-term saving on procurement costs
  • Collaborate with other managers to determine supply needs
  • Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
  • Purchase supplies and materialsaccording to specifications
  • Coordinate and supervise receiving and warehousing procedures
  • Oversee distribution of supplies in the organization
  • Control inventory levels and ensure availability of material during emergencies
  • Attend off-site pop-up sporting events
