Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a public sector body based in South Wales as a Technical Project Manager. The initial contract is until the end of the current financial year with a good chance of extending beyond.Client DetailsMy client is a public sector organisation with sites across South Wales. They are undertaking a major project to decommission their PSTN analogue network equipment.DescriptionThe successful Technical Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing a small team of technical specialists on the project to switch off PSTN, moving from analogue to digital
  • Utilising own technical knowledge to run discovery exercise on current equipment landscape
  • Identifying the appropriate action for different equipment e.g. analogue to digital coverter, replace equipment
  • Working with IT management team to utilise technical resources and report on project progress
  • Ensuring successful project delivery to time, budget and scope
  • Managing project across multiple locations
ProfileThe successful Technical Project Manager will possess:
  • Previous experience delivering technical network or infrastructure projects within multi-site organisation
  • Solid technical understanding, ability to get hands-on with discovery of current environment and suggest course of action
  • Confidence managing technical resources
  • Fantastic communication and reporting skills, both written and verbal
  • Previous public sector experience would be a bonus!
Job Offer£300 - £350 per day dependent on experience.This role has been determined as outside IR35.
