Transport for Wales - Graduate SchemeRole: Procurement and Supply Chain GraduateLocation: PontypriddAt Transport for Wales (TfW), we have big plans to transform the Welsh transport network. Its our vision to connect communities, create jobs and make travel across Wales and the borders more accessible than ever. Thats where you come in.On this scheme, youll blend formal learning with practical experience. Youll provide a range of procurement support activities by working with the Procurement Managers. Youll help to demonstrate value for money through sustainable procurement, identify newopportunities to improve efficiencies and keep up with industry changes. Day-to-day, youll support the Contract Manager with contract management plans, supplier management and any price negotiations or legal issues. And youll do all of this while workingon your own personal project.Throughout this two-year course, youll work towards achieving a professional qualification. As part of your learning, youll take part in six practical development workshops and four webinar sessions. Plus, youll combine your academic and practical learningto deliver a personal project that contributes to TfW.To apply, youll be a great team player, while still taking your own initiative. Thisll be backed up by a degree in a relevant discipline, and your ability to prioritise tasks and balance your workload. Youll also be a confident communicator, as youllliaise with different teams, senior stakeholders and TfW partners. With good IT skills and a passion for learning, youll quickly develop your skills and get the most out of the scheme.Work or volunteering experience in a related field is desirable, as are Welsh language skills.
