Job Description

Positions Available;

  • Dog Walking assistant & Dog trainer assistant
Species on-site or available to work with:
  • Dogs
We are a high-end Pet Retreat for dogs, offering daycare, boarding, grooming, training, and social events for dog owners.We are a vibrant young business that is providing high-end care for local dog owners. We have a forward-thinking team who will help build the business to provide exciting and innovative services to our local clients and we will be using our base to buildour brand online to market our products as we growHow to get to placement (The logistics!);
  • Driver (must have own transport)
What you will learn / The main duties (shadowing opportunities whilst on traineeship);
  • Understand special requests and specific conditions for each dog
  • Walk dogs outdoors in all weather conditions (anywhere from 20 to 60 minutes at a time)
  • Give each dog love and attention and treat the customers dogs as if they were their own
  • Ensure each dog is getting plenty of exercise
  • Ensure the safety of the dogs
  • Bath and clean dogs
  • Provide enrichment for the dogs
  • Remove waste and ensure the kennels are clean
  • Take photos of the dogs for their owners and update them regularly
  • Provide food and water
RequirementsCandidates must be able to:
  • Stand for a few hours a day
  • Lift, exercise, handle and restrain dogs
  • Submit for a police and reference check (once offered a role)
  • Look after dogs as if they are a member of the family
  • Undergo training as required
Criteria
  • Are you unqualified or qualified up to a Level 3 (if in animal care it must be a level 1)
  • Currently unemployed
  • Aged between 19-24
  • Own Transport
