Job Description

Interested in BIMWe have fantastic new opportunity for a Structural CAD Technician in Plymouth. We need someone, bright, talented and enthusiastic about learning all things BIM related. This role is for an award winning engineering consultancy in Plymouth with a team in theregion of 25 covering several disciplines including; Civil and Structural Engineering, Geotechnical and Transportation. The business has several offices across the Southern half of the United Kingdom of which Plymouth is the oldest. The successful candidate.The successful candidate will have good AutoCAD knowledge within construction and a keen ambition to learn 3D software such as Revit.CAD Technician Responsibilities:

  • Producing general arrangements, Revit Models and RC details for building structures in all traditional materials
  • Liaising directly with other design teams, clients and contractors
  • As your experience grows you can expect to be; mentoring juniors, setting CAD and BIM standards and being responsible for the BIM output of the office
We are very much looking for a candidate who knows how a building comes together, someone one can draw and details straight from engineers designs. Revit experience is not necessarily essential as full training will be provided. This business operates across a number of sectors including:

You will be working under the direction of a chartered structural engineer who will mentor and support you. This role will introduce you to cutting edge software such as Revit Structure, Dynamo and Tekla.This business is based in pleasant offices in a convenient location of Plymouth with free parking. Ideally candidates will hold an relevant qualification in construction or Civil Engineering such as an HNC or HND. A competitive package is on offer which includes;
