Job Description

I am looking for experienced, knowledgeable andself motivated service desk technician to join my fantastic client based in Plymouth. If youre looking for a challenging role with a company that values your progression and offers home working 4 days of theweek then this is the perfect role for you.A typical working day in this role could be as follows:

  • Responding to queries on the phone, via email, in person, or through remote access.
  • Offering technical assistance on the delivery, configuration, set up, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems, hardware, and software.
  • Training computer users andother staff on troubleshooting and diagnosing problems.
  • Gaining feedback from customers to improve training methods.
  • Writing and editing training manuals.
  • Running reports and analyzing common complaints and problems.
As a service desk technician you should have the following:
  • BA in IT, Computer Science or similar relevant field
  • A strong working knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software.
  • Good problem-solving, analytical, and team-working skills.
  • Previous working experience as an IT Help Desk Technician
  • Hands on experience with diagnosing and resolving basic technical issues
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
Standard working hours are 8amto 5.30pm however on occasion you may be required to provide support outside of these hours.This role offers hybrid working with only one day required in the Plymouth office as well exciting opportunities to visit offices in France, Spain and Ireland on occasion.
