Job Description

Senior Functional AnalystSF32606Devonport, PlymouthAbout the roleHere at Babcock International, were looking for a Senior Functional Analyst within the Through Life Engineering Management Solutions to join us at HMNB Devonport, one of the largest naval bases in Western Europe.Were a key strategic partner to our customers and we ensure that the UK Royal Navy goes to sea safely by supporting them in Devonport and around the world, delivering complex ship and submarine sustainment programmes and applying our core strengths of technology and expertise to sustain critical and complex assets to help maintain national security.The main purpose of the Through Life Engineering Management Solutions team is to help develop and maintain engineering solutions and systems in accordance with the TLEM solutions roadmap - in order to fully support business requirements and deliver solutions in line with the IT strategy.The solutions are a variety of CAD, CAM, PDM/PLM applications so experience of administrating/ configuring Autodesk VAULT, AutoCAD, Inventor, Autodesk Revit, MathCAD, SolidWorks or similar applications would be great!As the Senior Functional Analyst TLEMS your main function will be to develop, maintain and demonstrate TLEM solutions and systems in order to fully support business requirements and deliver solutions in line with the IT strategy.You will provide TLEMS skills and consultancy as part of a team of Functional Analysts (in Through Life engineering Management Solutions). All Senior Functional Analysts will be specialists in the Engineering Software that is located throughout the Babcock organisation, under the TLEM umbrella.Other responsibilities will include:* Maintain existing TLEM solutions, infrastructure, configurations and operations in order to meet business SLAs* Deliver TLEM training courses in various CAD applications as well as new solution workshops* Ensure that all new solutions align with the TLEMS roadmap authored by the TLEMS Solution manager* Develop and coordinate environment, application and user testing regimes* Identify new ideas, solutions and areas for improvement within TLEMS (and the organisation)What do I need to do the role* You will ideally have an Engineering Degree or HNC (or equivalent) * Experience in Computer Aided Design/manufacture* You will also have a broad knowledge in IT/Technical Applications and knowledge of TLEM solutions.* Excellent customer engagement and analysis skillsWhat else do I need to know* The successful candidate will need to satisfy security requirements.
