Techniche Global are supporting an engineering defence contractor to appoint a Senior Civil & Structural Engineer on a long term contract assignment. As a Senior Civil & Structural Engineer you will join the Major Structures Group group which is responsiblefor all technical aspects of through life management of the infrastructure across Devonport Royal Dockyard to ensure the wide range of facilities are operational and fit for purpose. You will join a project team supporting the development of critical assetsat Devonport Dockyard for future business work streams.You will support delivery of engineering projects across the Devonport infrastructure and facilities. We are looking for a flexible and dynamic individual with experience of a variety of civil and structural engineering design and through life management ofassets.Locaton: PlymouthRole Type: 12 month contractKey responsibilities of a Civil & Structural Engineer:* Undertaking design and analysis of civil structures.* Undertaking site work and inspections of assets.* General knowledge of structural behaviour and design intent/function of assets.* Liaising with plant manages and facility operators to facility inspections.* Providing technical advice.* Preparing technical Scopes and Specifications and provide intelligent customer role.Experience/skills required:* A sound understanding civil structures.* Knowledge of common defect types applicable to civil structures.* Youll be either educated to degree level in Civil, Structural or related engineering discipline, or hold a level 4/5 STEM qualification (HNC/HND) with substantial relevant experience.* You need to possess good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with others, including internal stakeholders and customers.* A willingness to adapt and learn.* Self motivated and ability to deliver to a schedule deadlines.If this role is of interest, Apply Now!
