Job Description

SEN Teaching Assistant - Mainstream PrimaryJob Type: Long-termLocation: PlymouthSalary: £85 - £100 per day, depending on expertise and dedicationReed Education Plymouth is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant. This is a long-term role in a Plymouth City Centre School and an opportunity to make a significant differencein the lives of a young learner by providing tailored 1-2-1 support and fostering an environment where the student can succeed.Day to Day of the role:

  • Provide 1-2-1 support to pupils with SEN in mainstream primary schools, adapting your approach to meet their individual needs.
  • Utilise your knowledge of the national curriculum to support and enhance the learning experience for SEN pupils.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to nurture positive behaviour and a supportive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a holistic support system for pupils.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A passion for supporting children with SEN, regardless of previous experience.
  • Adaptability and creativity in meeting the diverse needs of pupils.
