Job Description

Job Opportunity: School Cleaner (Supply Basis)Location: PlymouthSalary: £11.47 per hourRecruitment Agency: Reed Education PlymouthAre you a dedicated and detail-oriented individual with experience in cleaning services Reed Education Plymouth is currently seeking School Cleaners to work on a supply basis, providing essential cleaning services in various schools. Join our teamand enjoy the benefits of working with Reed, a leading education recruitment agency.Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to provide efficient cleaning services in accordance with the cleaning specification and instructions.
  • Assist in the moving of furniture and moveable fittings, following manual handling best practices.
  • Refill toilet paper holders and dispensers (soap and hand gel) and manage other consumables as required.
  • Conduct external cleaning duties, including window cleaning, sweeping, litter picking, and emptying bins.
  • Report premises defects, vandalism, or graffiti promptly to the Cleaning Supervisor, Facilities Manager, or Duty Caretaker.
  • Immediately report any health and safety concerns to the Cleaning Supervisor, Facilities Manager/Caretaker, or senior school staff; adhere to all health and safety requirements during cleaning operations.
  • Report defects in cleaning equipment (e.g., damaged cables, cracked plugs) immediately to the Cleaning Supervisor or Facilities Manager/Duty Caretaker.
  • Participate in training as necessary and instructed.
  • Demonstrate courtesy towards staff, students, and visitors, supporting the Colleges ethos while carrying out duties to the best of your abilities.
  • Undertake additional duties as required at a similar level or nature.
