Job Description

As a result of our clients expansion plans and their continued ongoing success, Pertemps are searching for a motivated and proactive Retail Analyst to be based at their Head Office in Plymouth.As the Retail Analyst, you will assist in developing, implementing & maintaining margin protection and oversight strategies to meet agreed company objectives. Full training will be provided for the role so this is perfect for someone who has a desire to learnand progress. The successful candidate will be a quick thinker, be able to multitask, project confidence in all they do and sell their ideas well.As a successful Retail Analyst you will be responsible for:

  • Measuring promotional activity and identifying any risks
  • Monitoring and reporting on company wastage, and analyse store erosion (write offs and markdowns) and the implications this has on company profit and margin.
  • Analysing and reporting on clearance sell throughs (Summer Sale etc.)
  • Liaising with departments on findings and recommendations
  • Provide meaningful reports and insights, recommending appropriate actions, with the aim of enhancing and protecting margin.
  • Promoting a margin protection culture within the business.
  • Conduct investigations and identified areas of concern related to loss of profit and margin.
  • Provide feedback, findings and make recommendations for improved processes and procedures related to enhancing margin.
To succeed as a Retail Analyst, youll need to have:
  • The ability to proactively plan your time and priorities.
  • To demonstrate a strong commercial awareness.
  • The ability to demonstrate analytical skills.
  • Written SkillsAble to demonstrate effective report and letter writing skills.
  • Self-sufficient PC skills such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
  • The ability to identify critical issues, have an eye for detail and be able to cope well with complexity.
Hours are full time- Mon-Fri 8:45am5:30pm, located in Derriford, Plymouth.Salary is competitive depending on experience.
