Resourcing Business Partner x2Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth£36,525 - £45,045 dependent on experienceSF30721About the roleBabcock Naval Marine Division is the UKs leading naval support business. Our experience draws on an unmatched range of engineering and technical skills in providing naval base management and shipbuilding to the Royal Navys submarines and surface ships, in addition to operating a wide range of strategic shore-based naval support facilities.Babcock Internationals Devonport Royal Dockyard facility is co-located with HM Naval Base Devonport to form the largest naval support site in Western Europe. Babcocks facilities at Devonport include the UKs sole licensed site for the refitting and refuel/defuel of nuclear-powered submarines, where Trafalgar and Vanguard-Class submarines undergo major refits and upgrades.Due to the continual growth across the site, we are recruiting two Resourcing Business Partners to join the team and be responsible for supporting the operational management and delivery of our recruitment partners for both permanent and temporary resource across two sectors: Naval Nuclear and Naval Marine within our Devonport site.You will work closely with closely with our partners to ensure delivery of professional, effective and timely recruitment thus meeting the needs of the business to ensure we have a committed and competent employee in every role.Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining a strong relationships between the business and recruitment partners
  • Working closely with our recruitment partner to ensure they delivers an efficient and effective service and all SLAs are met
  • Ensuring the company culture and values as well as our commitment to Diversity and Inclusion are fully embedded and consistently represented throughout the resourcing process
  • Liaison with functional and operational management to provide advice and guidance on developing operational resourcing plans appropriate to each departmental need/requirement whilst remaining consistent with overall policy/procedure
  • Work with recruitment partners to understand labour market conditions and review internal employee turnover trends which will enable recommendations to the companys recruitment and reward strategies to adapt to changing market conditions
  • Work with internal teams to support the delivery of the companys objectives and strategies by increasing the diversity of new recruits
  • Maintain a strong interface with the on-site HRSS to ensure the companys recruitment strategy is delivered
  • Influencing and supporting the improvement of the on-boarding process at a site-wide level
  • Network with appropriate professional engineering bodies/institutions/communities to ensure a throughput of candidates/applicants. In a variety of methods, including engineering institutes, local networking events, industry/sector networking
  • Using workforce planning information to support external partners to develop campaign plans and proactive sourcing to meet demand

  • Recognised HR qualification (L5 CIPD) or equivalent, preferred
  • Previous experience in recruitment or account management
  • Proactive work ethic with attention to detail
  • Articulate, effective and concise communicator with strong influencing skills
  • Pro-active, able to work on own initiative with minimal guidance and support
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, change and political situations
  • Confident communicator and is able to build to engage at all levels within the organisation.
  • Ability to prioritise work and manage conflicting priorities coupled with effective time management
  • High degree of analytical skills
  • What else do I need to knowThis position is within the Central Services business unit as a Band 5 which has a salary of between £36,525 - £45,045 with DRDL Terms and Conditions.
