Job Description

Job Description The Quality Compliance Officers role is primarily to support and ensure Plymouth Marine Laboratory and PML Applications Ltd (together PML Group) complies to ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 as part of an integrated management system and any other accreditationthey may apply for in future.As Quality Compliance Officer you will work across the business collating data, monitoring and keeping the ISO integrated management system up to date and supporting and helping with both internal and external audits. You will be expected to drive continualimprovement, compliance awareness and good laboratory practice throughout the organisation.Key Deliverables:

  • Lead the PML ISO9001 quality management system.
  • Support both internal and external audits in accordance with the applicable audit programme and integrated management system for ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and any other relevant industry standards supporting the business functions, including the completionof supporting documents.
  • Manage the external ISO audit schedule with the appropriate accreditation body.
  • Arrange, deliver ISO management review meetings.
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews across the organisation.
  • Review environmental legislation and share updates with relevant staff.
  • Manage the environmental impacts and aspects register.
  • Log customer and public complaints, actions, and feedback.
  • Develop and review process flows and manage document control.
  • Deliver QHSE (Quality, Health & Safety and Environment) inductions for new starters.
  • Manage the calibration and servicing of relevant equipment.
  • Involvement in research integrity, including producing an annual statement in collaboration with the Director of Science and Head of People & Culture.
  • Provide administrative support to QHSE (Quality, Health & Safety and Environment) team including purchase orders and minute taking.
Involvement in business continuity planning
