Job Description

A large, busy and modern food manufacturer require a QA Technologist on a temporary to permanent basis.Plympton based.£9.74 per hour premium of £12.66 ph after 22:00.40 hours a week covering the following working hours, flexibility is required due to the nature of the business.Monday - Friday, 1700 - 0130.Desired job related experience, knowledge and skill requirements:

  • Level 2 Food safety - although training can be provided on site.
  • Level 2 HACCP - although training can be provided on site.
  • Previous experience in food Manufacturing.
    • Dutys will include
  • Goods intake checks.
  • Good Excel and Word skills.
  • Be responsible for driving food safety and quality standards.
  • Validation work.
  • Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.
  • Support on-site audits conducted by third parties and second parties.
  • Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.
  • Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collect and compile statistical quality data.
  • Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities.
  • Recording and reporting quality data.
  • Preparing samples for micro testing / swabbing (environmental and listeria swabs, water samples, hand swabs).
  • Traceability audits.
  • Paperwork checking / controlling / filing.
  • Label checks/ verification.
  • Temperature checks.
  • Probe and scale calibrations.
  • CCP checks.
  • Knife / blade audits.
  • Glass audits.
  • Dispatch checks.
  • Other day-to-day quality function for the site.
