Job Description

Job Title: Project Manager - Future Maritime Support ProgrammeLoction: Plymouth, Devon + Hybrid Working Option Compensation: Competitive Salary + BenefitsRole Type: Full time / PermanentRole ID: SF53108At Babcock were working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Project Manager at our Devonport site.The roleAs a Project Manager, youll have a role thats out of the ordinary, youll play your part in supporting mission systems. Your work will contribute to shaping the future of systems within defence. And, with our track record of innovation, youll continuallydevelop your knowledge and expertise.Day to day, youll:

  • Manage stakeholders including Engineering, Operations, supply chain, client engagement and partners, identify, monitor, plan and implement responses and reporting of risks.
  • Lead the project to deliver world class performance by means of employee engagement, continuous improvement and identifying and implementing the latest technology.
  • Establish and maintain governance arrangements for the delivery of the project, defining clear roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities.
Essential experience of the Project Manager
  • Prior experience in a similar role in industry would be an advantage.
  • You will be leading a team and responsible for planning, motivation, scheduling, other team collaboration, conflict management, negotiations, appraisals etc. and be accountable for profit/loss, health, and safety for a project.
  • Knowledge of project controls tools and how these tools operate to provide key information for decision making.
  • Commercially and financially astute, with a challenging mind-set
This role is full-time, 36-hours per week, based at Devonport Royal Dockyard. Hybrid working options available.Qualifications for the Project ManagerThe successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.Our Benefits
