Job Description

JOBCrane Service Engineer LOCATIONPlymouthTERM - Permanent SALARY - £32,000 - £40,000 per annumMy client, a southwest based company specializing in the Design, Installation and Maintenance of lifting equipment are looking for an experienced Crane Service Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. The Crane Service Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • At least 2 years experience in Electrical Engineering.
  • Electrical & Mechanical skills.
  • Good fault finding, installation, testing, commissioning skills.
  • Full UK Driving license.
The Crane Service Engineer duties will involve:
  • The Crane Service Engineer inspects, maintains, services and repairs lifting equipment for clients.
  • They will carry out mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, diagnostic and repair tasks such as assembling, dismantling and overhaul of mechanical, electrical and electronic lifting equipment and overhead gantry cranes and components such as hoists,motors, gearboxes, inverters, control units etc.
  • Carries out mechanical / electrical / electronic preventive maintenance of crane equipment.
  • Carry out project work, new crane installations, load tests and commissioning.
