Job Description

A teacher takes a hand, opens a mind and touches a heart.Have you been looking for your next Music teacher role at an Ofsted rated Good school where there is a focus on all learners having the same opportunities regardless of their starting pointDo you currently live in or around PL3Do you have a passion for inspiring creativity, improving your students educational experiences and bringing out the best in themIf you said yes to these questions, you currently have an amazing opportunity to work as a music teacher in a secondary school in PL3. The role would begin after Easter until the end of the academic year, with potential to become a permanent position ifsuccessful in the role.Work hours are 8.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m, Monday to Friday. This is the perfect opportunity for those who have a genuine passion and desire to make the classroom a fun environment and make the students look forward to class each day.The perfect candidate will:

  • Make an effort to provide every child with the best learning experience they could hope for.
  • Create a fun and engaging classroom experience where students are excited to attend lessons.
  • Implement your unique teaching style to effectively address a variety of student behaviours; you should be adaptable and flexible to ensure fairness in the classroom.
  • Establish a trustworthy and perceptive relationship with students where they see you as a role model and someone they can rely on.
  • The ability to communicate emotionally is essential for interactions in the classroom.
  • Classrooms may be stressful places, so its important to be able to take a deep breath and determine how much help is needed to control tempers and diffuse situations. Be calm, patient, and understanding.
A candidate Must Have:
  • An enhanced DBS or be willing to get one (we will help with this!)
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Eligibility to work in the UKunfortunately we are unable to provide sponsorships
