Job Description

Mechanical TechnicianPlymouthPermanentSalary circa £30,000DK Recruitment are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join their Plymouth based clients team on a Full time and Permanent basis.The working hours are 07:00 - 16:00 - Monday to Friday (37 hours per week plus 5.5 hours overtime).There is sometimes options for additional overtime and after your 6 month probation you will have a salary review.Let’s start with the good stuff… Benefits!

Candidate Requirements
  • Engineering Qualification
  • Full Driving License
  • A thorough working knowledge of complex engineering workshop machinery and safety precautions
  • Ability to undertake Welding and Fabricating as required
  • You will be subject to random drugs and alcohol testing due to the safety critical nature of the post so a clear result is required for this role
The Role
  • Complete planned maintenance and defect rectification on all mechanical equipment and systems
  • Complete planned maintenance and defect rectification activity within the shore infrastructure.
  • Ensure that all workshops and all tools and equipment associated with tasks under your control are kept in a safe and clean condition.
  • Carry out fault diagnosis and assist in breakdowns and resolve issues, acknowledge causes and remedy.
