Marketing Assistant / School Media Technician who is enthusiastic and committed with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience creating and publishing marketing materials across a range of social media platforms, whichincludes updating content on the Schools website is required for a well-established Academy Trust based in Plymouth, Devon, South West England.SALARY: £23,953 - £26,446 FTE (NJC Grade E), Actual salary £8,489 - £9,373 per annumLOCATION: Plymouth, Devon, South West EnglandJOB TYPE: Part-Time, PermanentWORKING HOURS: 14.8 hours per week, Monday to Friday 39 weeks per year (Term-time only)JOB OVERVIEWWe have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Marketing Assistant / School Media Technician who is enthusiastic and committed with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience creating and publishing marketing materials across a rangeof social media platforms, which includes updating content on the Schools website.Working as a Marketing Assistant / School Media Technician you will be responsible for supporting the creation of a whole school media strategy, marketing materials, news and other external promotional materials.As a Marketing Assistant / School Media Technician you will be responsible for the effective running of media technician support systems across the school and ensure the school website is compliant and up to date, to support teaching activities and maintainspecialist media equipment.APPLY TODAYIf this job looks like your ideal position, then please send in your CV as soon as possible for our Recruitment Team to review.DUTIESYour duties as a Marketing Assistant / School Media Technician will include:

• Responsible for supporting with the creation of marketing materials, news, and other external promotional materials

• Responsible for school website compliance and updates

• Responsible for social media strategy, support school branding and signage

• Responsible for management of media curriculum related stock levels

• Maintain specialist media equipment, checking for quality and safety and undertake minor repairs where appropriate, arranging for other repairs/modifications to be carried out by others

• Responsible for the secure storage of media equipment

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• NVQ 4 or equivalent qualification or experience relevant to this role

• Awareness of specific health and safety requirements of working as a Media Technician

• An awareness of GDPR and media consent guidelines within a school environment

• Knowledge and skills in media and the ability to contribute to lessons and support student learning

• Specialist background with supporting practical and theoretical scientific knowledge to support media knowledge

• Prior experience of creating, publishing and maintaining website content

• Experience of creating and publishing marketing materials across a range of social media platforms

• Confident to use a range a media equipment, to take photos, film video and record audio

• Proficient in the use of Adobe suite to create video, moving image, audio and graphic design work

• Good Numeracy & Literacy skills

• Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills required to liaise with other staff, students and external suppliers and contractors
