Job Description

Job Title: Learning & Development Business PartnerLocation: PlymouthSalary: £35,000Job type: Full TimeOverseas candidates will NOT be considered for this role. We are not sponsoring Visas at this time, so please refrain from applying unless eligible to work in the UKThe Learning & Development Business Partner (LDBP) will have the responsibility to identify, organise and evaluate Bardens entire range of required learning & development activities. As a new role in within the Colleague Engagement, Wellbeing & Developmentteam you will work with the head of the department to define the processes, best practices and training packages required to support all disciplines and levels within the business.You will create a package of training solutions specific to roles that will be used to support colleagues when they are promoted, move departments, or join the business as well as a series of refresher courses designed to keep the businesses skill levelstopped up.Working with the wider Colleague Engagement, Wellbeing and Development team you will provide the expertise and support required to deliver an effective performance management and appraisal solution to allow colleagues to progress and improve.Knowledge/Experience:

  • Experience in supporting the full training lifecycle.
  • Proven work experience within the Learning & Development area, preferably delivering training in the past.
  • Experience in designing new training & identifying training needs.
Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills that are both engaging and confident.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative with a "can do" attitude.
  • Awareness of the different training solutions available to businesses.
  • Good understanding of learning management systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer facing skills.
  • Evidence of strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and multi-task effectively.
  • Excellent I.T. skills, including proficiency in the full Microsoft Office suite.
Qualifications:
  • L&D Diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent written & spoken English.
Key Role Requirements:
  • Design training packages delivered by in-house colleagues, providing a train the trainer service.
  • Work with external partners to design bespoke training packages that can be delivered externally or in-house depending on suitability.
  • Work closely with the management to match the future training programme with the companies objectives.
  • Evaluate and monitor delegates feedback and effectiveness of training.
  • Develop content appropriate for e-learning
  • Own and manage all learning activity and records.
  • Schedule, book and organise training packages for every member of the business
  • who requires them to ensure they are supported.
  • Skills & training analysis - identifying trends and opportunities where intervention can provide improvement.
  • Ensure that confidentiality and security of all training information is maintained.
