Job Description

HR Administrator - Plymouth6 month fixed term contractHours - Flexible. Full or Part-time considered.As HR Administrator you will be an integral part of the UK & Ireland HR Team, supporting the business to deliver its mission to be the most reliable and efficient provider of technical industrial services. Providing proactive HR Administrative support to Operations and the wider HR team whilst living to our Clients values of Colleagueship, Result Orientation, Professionalism, Reliability, Respect & Trust.Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • The first point of contact for all HR related queries and refer to appropriate HR/Operational team member.
  • Process weekly starters and leavers in conjunction with the Payroll Department and issue relevant letters.
  • Administer HR-related documentation and general correspondence. Making sure it is issued & recorded accurately.
  • Maintain employee E-files accurately.
  • Update sickness records whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times, reporting any long-term’ absences to the relevant HR team member.
  • Assist in collation of Employee Liability Information for contract award and contract loss across the UK.
  • Arrange and assist with note taking of disciplinaries. Produce relevant outcome letter to the employee, following full disciplinary process in line with Company Disciplinary Procedure.
  • Assist with recruitment inhouse and external, liaising with external agencies where appropriate.
  • Assist with interviews and issue relevant correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Keeping track of all new starters and probationary review dates, ensuring all probationary review forms are completed by managers
  • Provide support to the wider HR team to ensure efficient delivery of HR Services to the business.
  • Assist in security clearance/dockyard pass documentation.
  • QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Demonstrate professionalism and ability to deal with all levels of staff
  • To be computer literate and be able to create reports and spreadsheets and work with HR systems
  • Excellent communication skills to deal with staff and external clients
  • Ability to escalate issues in a timely manner
  • Ability to remain confidential at all times
  • Full understanding and supporting HR department
  • Proven to demonstrate strong, positive behaviours which enable HR department to run in an efficient manner
  • Basic understanding of ER and current employment legislation
  • Have experience of meeting targets and deadlines
  • Be proactive and able to work using your own initiative
  • 1+ years in HR administrative role
