Safety, Health, Environment and Quality AdvisorPermanent or FTCPlymouth£40,000DK Recruitment are looking for a SHEQ Advisor to join their Plymouth based team on a Permanent or FTC basis. You will be working on actively ensuring that the construction and upgrades projects are managed and undertaken safely and in line with our environmentalobligations and that safe systems of work are developed and supported.Some Key Responsibilities To oversee the delivery of the EPCM construction contract from a Health and Safety perspective, ensuring contractor compliance with UK legislation, regulations, policies and processes To provide H&S guidance and leadership to the construction management team To engage, influence and coach all team members, stakeholders, and contractors to promote and continually improve a strong Health and Safety culture To be a strong presence on the ground conducting regular HSE visits, interacting with the management team and workforce to determine suitability of processes, risk management, safety behaviours, field inspections and system inspections & audits Facilitate, co-ordinate and conduct safety training/workshops, assessments and inductions for management and project team members Assist in the implementation, review and maintenance of the Business Management System (BMS) as it relates to HSE Ensure risk/hazard registers are maintained for all facilities, that risks/hazards identified are communicated and plans are in place to minimise exposure to the workforce.Essentials Skills & Qualifications Required NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or similar qualification 3-5 years in a similar role in High-Risk construction and/or high-risk operational environments Experience in undertaking safety & environmental inspections and other monitoring activities including the development of audit reports and close out of corrective actions.
