Job Description

Job Title: Financial Analyst Location: Plymouth (Office Based) Salary:Competitive Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:45 am - 17:30 pm.Responsibilities:

  • Analysing daily, weekly, and monthly performance data at store level to promptly identify concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Evaluating the performance data of all income streams and providing recommendations for potential changes to enhance profitability.
  • Modelling and projecting the financial impact of proposed new business scenarios.
  • Conducting sensitivity analysis on existing group profitability, identifying areas of opportunity and concern for focused attention.
  • Collaborating with key teams across the organisation in finance business partnering.
  • Performing other tasks as needed.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:This demanding role in a fast-paced environment requires the following:
  • Experience in a commercial organisation.
  • Proficiency in analysing large data sets, identifying trends and issues, and making recommendations.
  • Strong Excel skills, including financial modelling (essential).
  • Desirable experience in Power BI, Visual Basic, and SQL.
  • Professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or similar).
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Confidence to challenge existing practices and seek improvements.
