Job Description

Pertemps is seeking a dynamic Finance Manager to be based at theirclients Head Office in Plymouth, an exciting journey for an experienced management accountant/finance manager.Theyreone of the fastest growing privately owned companies with over 200 stores nationwide, and this role is crucial in ensuring the efficient operation of their Finance team. This includes preparing and reviewing financial performance and having an inputon key commercial decision making.Details:

  • Role: Finance Manager
  • This is a permanent, full-time position.
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:45am – 17:30pm.
  • Location: Plymouth, Devon
  • Salary: Competitive depending on experience
Duties of the Finance Manager:
  • Ownership of a big new contract - unit reporting (preparing monthly management accounts and adhoc analysis)
  • Finance business partnering with key teams throughout the wider business.
  • Review and challenge of monthly accruals for the wider business
  • Owning and challenging the output of the Overheads team
  • Financial scenario modelling
  • Preparing and submitting monthly Intrastat reports
  • Assisting with year-end audit
  • Other tasks as required.
Qualifications, skills, and experience:This is a demanding role in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following:
  • Experience in a commercial organisation
  • Experience preparing management accounts with commentary.
  • Strong Excel skills, with experience of financial modelling (desirable)
  • Professional qualification desirable (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or similar)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • The confidence to challenge existing practices and seek improvements.
