Job Description

Finance ManagerLocation: Plymouth, Devon or Pool, CornwallSalary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, negotiable based on skills and experienceHours: 37.5 hours per weekAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a charity who support those affected by Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence. The successful candidate will deliver financial management accounting across the charity, including but not limitedto development of all budgets, internal and external reporting, and projecting trends and developing analysis.Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, deliver and report on financial policies, processes, controls and objectives
  • Provide expert financial advice to the Senior Management Team
Essential Requirements
  • Previous management or supervisory experience
  • Demonstrable IT efficiency with MS products - Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Skype
  • Appropriate managerial qualification
  • Formal financial training such as AAT, management accounting, or equivalent
Experience
  • Detailed experience of XERO accounting software
  • Experience of complex finance accounting, administration and record keeping, including experience of restricted and unrestricted funding in a similar sized registered charity, social enterprise, etc
  • Experience of planning, preparing and responding to end of year financial audits
  • Supporting governance processes and implementing Board-level decisions
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients/colleagues/professionals and stakeholders
  • Experience of organisational development and management
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Well organised with meticulous attention to detail
  • Leadership / mentoring / supervisory skills
  • Ability to understand and implement new software and administrative procedures
  • Experience of internal auditing of policies and procedures against working practices
  • Proven ability in the formation and drafting of policy strategy within national guidelines and legislation
