Job Description

Butler Rose is recruiting a Finance Business Partner for a well-established manufacturing business in Plymouth. This is a permanent role and offers hybrid working.Reporting into the Financial controller and working very closely with operational stakeholders, this is a hugely important role for the business where you will analyse financial performance and pro-actively drive improvements.Key duties will include:

  • Business partnering with operations, ensuring understating and ownership of all aspects of the P&L
  • Production and control of budgets, forecasts and manufacturing plans and monitoring performance and progress against them using variance analysis
  • Supporting preparation of management accounts
  • Oversee cost of sales reporting
  • Contribute towards financial plans to ensure value for money
  • Preparation of statistical information and reports to identify trends and areas of improvement, along with financial solutions
  • Pro-actively identifying process improvements
  • Ad hoc project work as required
The successful candidate will have gained experience within a manufacturing / engineering environment or product-based business. You will preferably be formally qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA), although those who are qualified by experience with relevant skillsmay also be considered.You will be a strong communicator who is able to challenge and influence operational colleagues based on sound financial and analytical information.
