Chief EngineerFTCSerco DefenceMaritimeDevonport, PlymouthFixed term contract6 months£47,380 - £50,000 per annumWere currently recruiting for an Engineer to take overall responsibility for the operational states and maintenance of all machinery and electrical equipment onboard the vessel.The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all propulsion, auxiliary and deck machinery, electrical appliances, air conditioning, domestic installations, boilers, fittings and structures within andwithout the machinery spaces and such items as may be detailed by the Company from time to time.What we are looking forThe successful applicant must hold a Certificate of Competency as a Chief Engineer (minimum of 3000Kw), as well as an in date ENG1.This is an opportunity for an experienced Maritime Engineer, to bring demonstratable experience of management or leadership, and have a real impact in supporting the team around them.Due to the nature of the role, strong interpersonal skills are required when dealing with internal stakeholders as well as the customer.
