Job Description

Due to the continued success and growth of our client, an expert in turnkey Installations for a broad range of Industries with 30 years’ experience of full system solutions from design to delivery of Electrical & Mechanical projects.The position of Electrical Contracts Manager will oversee all aspects of assigned contracts, across multiple sectors of the business, from conception to completion. You will manage the Company’s resources to achieve a successful outcome, Technically, Commercially,Safely and to the Clients Satisfaction on the project. This position reports to our Electrical Contracts Director.Experience & Qualifications:

  • Electrical Contracts Manager with proven Commercial and Industrial managerial experience.
  • Full detailed knowledge of 18th Edition wiring regulations.
  • 5 years of experience of managing or supervising contracts or works to reach completion within budget and timescale.
  • Ability to resolve any technical queries during the contract.
  • Familiar with JCT and NEC suite of contracts.
  • Experience of managing procurement, labour, and sub-contractors.
  • Experience of preparing monthly applications and have actively participated in any cost recovery exercises where required.
  • Experience of coordinating M&E installation and commissioning.
  • Line management experience.
  • Experience of value engineering projects to create cost savings.
  • All health and safety requirements during the contract including compiling method statements and risk assessments.
  • Positive, flexible, and pro-active attitude to work with a desire to influence others to adopt a similar attitude.
  • Must be able to remain calm under pressure whilst working to strict deadlines.
  • Excellent working knowledge of IT systems, including Office 365 and various estimating, drawing and contracts management packages.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Project - desirable.
  • Computer Aided Design competency (City & Guilds or equivalent) - desirable.
  • City & Guilds (2396) Design, Erection and Verification of Electrical Installations - desirable.
  • BTEC: HNC/D (Level 4/5) Electrical Systems Engineering - desirable
  • IOSH managing safely V5 - desirable.
  • CSCS card - essential.
  • SMSTS course - essential.
  • Full driving license, own vehicle, and flexibility with working away from the Plymouth area when needed.
