Job Description

Introduction/Job Overview:Director of Technical Services - A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a leading company based in Plymouth in a Senior role. They have tripled in size in the last few years and now embarking on their next phase of growth.This is a key role fort the business and successful candidate will be responsible for driving the technical agenda and making sure that everyone within the business understands why they do what they do and keeps people current in their knowledge of workingpractises and abreast of any changing market priorities.Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Assessor knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental management issues are current, through delivery of a planned training and coaching programme
  • Oversee virtual trainers
  • Continually review and develop technical services to ensure they remain appropriate to the markets needs and expectations
  • Work with all departments to ensure that there is a good understanding of technical services across all teams - including producing technical documentation and training aides to support sales and marketing efforts
  • Act as internal lead on the development of new technical services
  • Continually measure and review a members experience
  • Track the performance of products including customer engagement and satisfaction
  • Overall responsibility for the companys technical resources
  • Consistently and coherently communicate with internal stakeholders and senior management to set the agenda and priorities around the technical aspects of what they do.
  • Represent the company on the board of Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP), BuildUK and other industry forums.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience within a similar role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
  • Experienced Health & Safety leader
  • Team managment experience
  • A minimum of 2 years experience within the constructin industry
  • Nebosh General or construction certification
