Our client based in Plymouth is a well-established and leading manufacturer of precision engineered products made from ferrous and non-ferrous metals used in some of the worlds most exciting and challenging environments. Their high tolerance safety criticalproducts can be found in various regulated markets such as Marine, Nuclear, Renewable Energy and Oil and Gas.They have a large clean well organised and safe working environment complimented by a robust order book and are seeking enthusiastic motivated designer engineers to join their team.Design Engineer.Key tasks include -Design using Solidworks.Producing accurate bill of materials.Ensuring materials are specified correctly and are suitable for the job.Tolerancing key parts to ensure complex assembles fit together correctly.Having an input into reviewing contracts before being issued to the shop floor.Controlling design through a controlled and authorised system (PMD Vault).Liaising with customers / suppliers to confirm appropriate design specifications.Liaising with shop floor to see projects through to completion.Use or understanding of CAM software is advantageous.Oversee testing to ensure the finished assembly meets the required specification.Of graduate caliber, or a time served engineer within a technical discipline such as Mechanical Engineering the ideal candidates will have experience of Solidworks design gained within manufacturing and preferably be able to design for manufacture successfully.Salary level is in a band from £25K - 37K depending on experience but there is also plenty of training and career progression within this growing group.For further information or to apply please send your CV to Gary Simpson
