Job Description

Our client based in Plymouth is a well-established leading manufacturer of precision engineering equipment used in some of the worlds most challenging environments.Their high tolerance safety critical products can be found in various regulated markets such as Naval Marine, Nuclear, Renewable Energy and Oil and Gas.They have been largely unaffected by recent events, having a large safe working environment and a full order book they are seeking enthusiastic motivated individuals to join their team.Design Engineer.Key tasks includes -

  • Design using Solidworks
  • Producing accurate bill of materials
  • Ensuring materials are specified correctly and are suitable for the job
  • Tolerancing key parts to ensure complex assembles fit together correctly
  • Having an input into reviewing contracts before being issued to the shop floor
  • Controlling design through a controlled and authorised system (PMD Vault)
  • Liaising with customers / suppliers to confirm appropriate design specifications
  • Liaising with shop floor to see projects through to completion
Of graduate caliber, or a time served engineer within a technical discipline such as Mechanical Engineering the ideal candidates will have experience of Solidworks design gained within manufacturing and preferably be able to design for manufacture successfully.Salary level is in a band from £25K - 36K depending on experience but there is also plenty of training and career progression within this growing group.For further information or to apply please send your CV to Gary Simpson
