Job Description

One of my clients are looking for a a Cyber Security Design Lead to join them on a 6 month contract. The role is Inside IR35, fully remote working and paying £720 a day. You need SC Clearance for this role.If you like the look of the Job description below please apply below and i will drop you a call ASAP: Main Purpose of RoleResponsible for ensuring the delivery of the Security System engineering aspects of the xxxProject. Ensure systems are designed against a clear statement of compliance with defined requirements, including demonstration that the design meetsrelevant HSE and specified Nuclear Safety and Security requirements. Supports delivery of security system engineering work packages to the required scope, quality, schedule and cost.

  • Management of the Security System engineering elements of the xxx project, ensuring designer technical performance and making appropriate technical responses. Provide Subject Matter Expert advice for security systems engineering.
  • Provide Technical design guidance and review of design of elements including but not limited to Hostile Vehicle Mitigation, CCTV, Security Fences, Gates and Turnstiles, Perimeter Intruder Detection Systems, Intruder Detection Systems, Security Lighting,Access Control Systems and Security Control Rooms.
  • Provide Technical design guidance and review integration of security systems with site wide security systems and other design packages
  • Ensure that the design documentation covers the scope of operations required by the Project Manager and is produced to agreed standards, schedule and budget.
  • Plan for effective project implementation, identifying key factors and effectively contributing to the projects technical planning process.
  • Ensuring effective Quality Management Arrangements operate and deliver through compliance with xxx Business Management System and Technical Manual.
  • Ensure that the processes and activities being managed are appropriately documented with appropriate records maintained and configuration and quality controls applied.
  • Ensure that staff and contractors are familiar with the hazards and risks associated with the work undertaken by the delegated engineering team through effective management and communication of the Risk Assessment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience and CompetencesThe candidate should preferably have:
  • Experience of design and substantiation of security systems
  • Demonstrable Experience of working on security system design and security project integration in the UK Defence or Civil Nuclear Industries or within MoD Major Infrastructure Projects or another highly regulated industry
  • Detailed understanding of the threats to security particularly to defence nuclear assets
