Job DescriptionJob Role: Continuous Improvement Specialist Pay Rate: £12.36 per hour Shifts: Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 16:30 and Friday 08:00 - 15:00Location: Plymouth This company is looking for a Continuous Improvement Specialist to join their skilled department, based in the worlds leading manufacturer of electrical enclosures in the heart of Plymouth. This company holds the prestigious Investors in People award and are committed to the training and development of all their staff. This is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to gain experience working for a global company.Main roles and responsibilities:* Working closely with the Operations department and other members of the continuous improvement team to ensure all improvements are made throughout the manufacturing department. * Conducting system observations and consultations with line leaders to understand processes. * Use Work Overview and Job Element sheets to describe how safety, quality and output requirements are achieved. * Generating and rolling out WOS and JES to multiple manufacturing departments and conducting updates where required.Essential: * Good working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint * Exceptional communication skills * A structured and methodical approach * Works well under pressure and can meet strict deadlines * Maths and English at GCSE level 3 Desirable:* Experience of working in a standardised work controlled environment * IMD qualifications for MTM UAS (training will be given for the successful candidate) * Photo manipulation skills* A foundation Degree or above in a relevant technical subject Additional benefits:* Westfield Health Insurance and Retail Discount Package * 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays * Company pension scheme * Discounted or free food If you are interested in the role or what some further information please send your CV to Acorn Recruitment acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
