Job Description

As a result of our clients expansion plans and their continued ongoing success, they are seeking a dynamic Content Editor to be based at their Head Office in Plymouth. Our client are a Sunday Times Top Track 100 company and has grown enormously with over200 stores nationwide. People are at the heart of their retail concept, and they want to invest in their staff making the future extraordinary.This is a varied, exciting and interesting role, where the successful Content Editor will use copywriting skills to create product descriptions, articles, and other text across a variety of departments and categories. With a constantly updated product offering,you will be producing digital content - engaging our clients customers and showcasing the best that they have to offer. As the Content Editor, you be required to learn their brand voice and the style of writing required for their copy and will produce SEO-tailoredpieces in a variety of formats for the website.As the successful Content Editor, you will be:

  • Writing web descriptions for large quantities of products
  • Creating informative and engaging articles to feature on the website
  • Maintaining and improving the SEO text site-wide
  • Ensuring all copy adheres to brand and tone guidelines
As the Content Editor, you will need:
  • A degree in a related subject (e.g. English, Journalism, Publishing, Media) or possess equivalent experience.
  • A strong grasp of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Confidence with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • A meticulous approach to their work and an eye for detail.
  • To be commercially minded with the ability to influence our clients customers.
  • To be proactive and hard-working with an ability to learn new processes quickly
  • A passion for home-related subjects (e.g. cooking, garden, homewares, and more).
  • Knowledge of SEO is desirable, but full training will be provided.
  • Experience in copywriting is desirable but not essential.
