Job Description

The Urgent Care Nursing Service is seeking to recruit an experienced and competent Registered Nurse to work collaboratively with the UCNS.• Have you got a high level of clinical competence• Would you like to be part of a team who offer intravenous therapies within patients own homes.• Increase your diagnostic skills•Are you confident about making autonomous decisions regarding patient care•Would you enjoy the challenge of being an integral member of a diverse and skilled team of professionals helping to maintain continuity of care for patients in their own homes 24/730 hours per week.The key part of our service is responding to urgent calls via Devon Doctors and other community services to provide high quality nursing care, to support avoidance to admission to hospital for our patients. Clinical skills you will be supported to provide are as follows;I.V Drug administrationECG’s, Cannulation, venepuncturePeritoneal and pleural drain managementEye care,Bladder and Bowel care to include catheterisation.End of life care to include syringe driver management and injectable.Diabetes managementWound care to include TNP and compression therapyCannulationVenepunctureBladder and Bowel care to include catheterisation.End of life care to include syringe driver management and injectable.Diabetes managementLivewell Southwest values its staff and makes investment in their development a priority.
